Who is this course for?
A course designed to meet the needs of HART personnel who may be required to supervise teams carrying out tasks which involve a risk of falling from height. Intended to move student past a good basic level of personal safety, and provide the knowledge and skills to make decisions that will protect personnel in the field.
Prerequisites
Due to the physical nature of the course, candidates must be free of contra indications for working at height, have a reasonable level of fitness and will be required to complete a self-declaration of fitness to train (if unsure, please contact us). The minimum age for is 18 years, and candidates must have successfully completed the HART SWAH operator course.

- Risk assessments
- Hierarchy of controls
- PPE selection, use and maintenance
- PPE inspection
- Anchor selection and creation
- Work restraint systems
- Work positioning
- Fall arrest
- Open structure climbing
- Applied mechanical advantage
- Pre-packed rescue kits
- Two line systems
Delivery method and assesment
Lectures and practical elements. The course assessment is by short written test and a heavy emphasis on continuous practical assessment.
