Who is this course for?
A course designed to meet the needs of HART personnel who may be required to train team mates to safely carry out tasks which involve a risk of falling from height. Intended to move supervisor past a good level of personal and team safety, and provide the knowledge and skills to plan and safely control team mate Safe Work at Height training
Prerequisites
Due to the physical nature of the course, candidates must be free of contra indications for working at height, have a reasonable level of fitness and will be required to complete a self-declaration of fitness to train (if unsure, please contact us). The minimum age is 18 years, and candidates must have successfully completed the HART SWAH Operator and HART SWAH Supervisor courses. PTLLS or similar is desirable.
Course content
A theoretical and practical course covering:
- Session control
- Recovering training session incidents
- PPE thorough examination
- Scenario sessions to assess personal skills
- Delivery of practical sessions
- Assessment planning
Delivery method and assesment
Lecture and practical elements. The course assessment is by short written test, peer review delivery sessions and a heavy emphasis on continuous practical assessment.
