Who is this course for?

This course is designed for workers who rely on Emergency evacuation (bail out) equipment as part of their working day E.G. crane drivers or high bay crane operators.

We can train on several types of system please contact us if you are unsure of your requirements.

Prerequisites

Due to the physical nature of the course, candidates must have a reasonable level of fitness and will be required to complete a self-declaration of fitness to train, (if unsure, please contact us),

The minimum age for candidates is 18 years.

Candidates must not have any contra indications for work at height E.G. vertigo, fear of heights.

  • Basic H&S law and requirements (as relevant to WAH)
  • Suitability surveys and clearance requirements
  • Hazard Analysis
  • Risk Assessments
  • Permit to Work systems
  • Pre-use inspection PPE
  • Basic operator checks and storage of equipment
  • PPE donning and fit
  • Anchorage
  • Landing

Delivery method and assesment

Lectures and practical elements. The course assessment is by short written test and a heavy emphasis on continuous practical assessment.
