All programmes are certified by the International Rescue Instructors Authority and where applicable the Industrial Roped Access Trade Association. Our height training systems are fully compliant with BS 8454: 2006 Code of practice for delivery of training and education for work at height and

HEIGHT SAFETY |
| Description |
This
8 hour programme is an introduction height safety awareness
programme designed for general law enforcement applications such as negotiating at height.
It is designed to be compliant with BS 8437:2005 Code of practice for selection, use and maintenance of personal fall
protection systems and equipment for use in the workplace.

to deploy onto rooftops or access other high spaces using non-suspension access techniques. .

ROPE ACCESS TECHNICIAN |
| Description |
This programme is a Police focussed roped access programme designed for teams specialising
in technical search and specialist access such as protestor
removal. With an additional module and independent assessment, officers can be qualified to IRATA Level 1; otherwise the training is compliant with BS 7985 British Standards for Industrial Roped Access.

ROPE ACCESS SUPERVISOR |
| Description |
According
to BS 7985, all roped access tasks must have a dedicated
supervisor competent to rig, implement safe systems of
work and provide rescue. This specially adapted programme
is designed to support the Roped Access Technician programme,
building upon the foundation skills to create a supervisor
competent to supervise any work positioning task. Aspirant supervisors must have logged 80 hours of experience over 12 months training prior to attendance on this course. With the requisite experience, it may be possible to assess to IRATA L2.

SPECIAL OPERATIONS ACCESS |
| Description |
This programme equips officers to respond to a variety of special policing operations using specialist access techniques and technology. Suitable for Tactical Fire Arms Officers, POLSAR Teams, MSUs and Counter Terrorist Officers, all participants must be trained to the Roped Access Technician level.

FALL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT COMPETENT
PERSON |
| Description |
The
Working at Height Regulations (2005), the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 1992, the Provision
and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and the Lifting
Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER),
all stipulate the requirement for periodic equipment
inspections carried out by competent persons. LOLER, the
most prescriptive inspection related legislation, stipulates
"Thorough Examinations" must be undertaken every 6 months
by a competent person and the results must be recorded
and held for 2 years. In addition, "Inspections" should
be carried out by a competent person every time the equipment
is subjected to abnormal circumstances such as overloading
or contamination. The PPE and Lifting Equipment Competent
Person is a stand alone programme designed to train equipment
custodians to Thoroughly Examine and Inspect all items
of PPE and Lifting Equipment used by their organisation.

BOLT INSTALLATION TECHNICIAN |
| Description |
For
many work at height tasks, the location of existing structural
anchors are unsuitable. Installing and testing safety
harness bolts either for PPE (Fall Arrest) or work positioning
is quick, cost effective and low impact. When installing
bolts that conform to BS EN 795 A1, technicians must be
competent in accordance with BS 7883.

also provide a bolt installation and testing service installing
anchors to BS EN 7883 and undertaking pullout tests for
mechanical and chemical anchors up to 100kN. |

MOVING WATER RESPONDER |
| Description |
Many
Officers will be exposed to a moving water related hazard
during the course of their duties, be it assisting flood
evacuation or the control of a river situated crime scene.
The Responder programme is an entry level hazard awareness programme that
provides Officers with the knowledge, experience and technical
training to stay safe when operating around the water
margins. This training meets the international standard of the IRIA Awareness level certification.
