Swiftwater rescue

Unlike flat water, moving water presents a totally different and more deadly hazard. The force of moving water has to be experienced first hand to be believed. Factor into this equation common river features such as weirs, bridges and trees and you suddenly unearth numerous lethal obstacles to be trapped in, against or under. Any stretch of moving water under certain conditions can become particularly unforgiving, where common misconceptions and instinctive safety responses, such as the use of a rescue line, can prove fatal without carefully controlled training. RIG have designed the following programmes to respond to the specific demands of industry.
